The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations (UN) with the aim of promoting world peace and security through international cooperation in education, arts, sciences and culture. Founded in 1945 and headquartered in Paris, France, it has 194 member states and 12 associate members, as well as partners in the non-governmental, intergovernmental and private sector.

The Università Iuav di Venezia is one of the leading universities in Europe and across the world in the fields of architecture, design, fashion, visual arts, urban and regional planning, and theatre. Established in 1926 as one of the first Architecture Schools in Italy, Iuav combines a renowned tradition with a firm commitment to permanent innovation while putting the design process at the core of the whole educational experience.

A higher education and research association founded in 1865, recognized as a public utility since 1870 and by the State in 1934, the Parisian Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture has been a member of the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles since 2010. The oldest architecture school in France, it offers an international, transdisciplinary education in architecture and urbanism with Master specializations in the major fields of Sustainable Design: Territorializing, Reconstruction and Experimentation.

Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University was established in 1882 in Istanbul, Turkey by its founding director
Osman Hamdi Bey, an archaeologist, painter and art historian. It is one of the oldest and most distinguished universities in Turkey in the field of education of architecture and fine arts. Today, the university has 3 faculties namely; the Faculty of Architecture, the Faculty of Fine Arts and the Faculty of Science and Letters. Besides the Faculties it also includes the İstanbul State Conservatory, vocational schools, several institutes and research centres.
Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Turkey plays an important role in the field of architecture, art andculture in Turkey with its mission for sensitivity towards cultural and natural heritage values, focusing on interdisciplinary research, innovation and critical thinking in education.

Inaugurated in 2007 in the Palais de Chaillot and heir to a long history of promoting heritage and architecture, the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine aims to raise awareness, disseminate and teach architecture and urban planning in its contemporary and heritage dimensions. Both a museum, an observatory of architectural creation, an archive centre, the largest library in Europe dedicated to contemporary architecture and a training centre for urban planners and heritage architects, the Cité bases its projects on the encounter between all dimensions of architecture, understood in a broad and generous definition, in history as well as in the present.
