The theme of the 2022 edition was: « Territory: threat or opportunity?” The winners chosen by the scientific jury answered this crucial question in unison: « The greatest opportunity! » Martin Rauch (Austria), a pioneer in earth construction, declares the territory his primary resource. Dorte Mandrup (Denmark) and Ömer Selkuc Baz and Okan Bal (Turkey) are inspired by the history and stories of the isolated territories in which they work. Anupama Kundoo (India) works with the land but above all with its inhabitants, their know-how and the strength of their dreams. Gilles Clément (France) poetically transforms each landscape, with a minimum of intervention and economic effort.
